At 0549 this morning Squad 1 along with Companies 34 & 44 were dispatched mutual aid to Montgomery County for a house fire in the area of Kansas Ln and Allegheny Ave in Takoma Park. Engine 702 arrived reporting a two-story single family home with fire through the roof.
Squad 1 arrived and went to work as the search group with fire extending from the first floor through the roof. The crew broke into two teams, with the first going to the second floor where there had been reports of a person trapped.
The second team started in the basement and worked its way up. All primary and secondary searches were negative. The Squad operated on scene for about 90 minutes.
