Just before 0900 hours, Rescue Squad 1 along with other units was dispatched for a 9I at New Hampshire and University Boulevard with 1 trapped. Rescue Squad 1 arrived on scene and went to work stabilizing, taking glass and the removing the side of the vehicle.
Both doors and the B-post were removed to ease access of removing the patient. The extrication was complete in just over 5 minutes. Rescue Squad 1 stayed on scene to assist with patient care of the other vehicle and also to help clean up fluids. Rescue Squad 1 cleared the scene at 0915 hours.
