Later that morning the box was sounded for 1512 Timber Ridge Lane in Co. 44’s area. With company 44 out of service for training, Engine 12 was first due. Arriving with nothing evident, the crew stretched a line to the third floor to find an apartment banked down with smoke. The small fire was quickly extinguished. The primary search was completed and ventilated prior to a majority of the balance of the box alarm’s arrival. Engine 12 returned to service at 1210 after overhaul and investigation.
