Just after midnight Truck 1 was alerted 2nd due to 1016 Merrimac Drive for a reported house on fire in the area. Engine 343 arrived to find a 1 1/2 SFD with smoke showing. Truck 1 arrived soon after completed the primary searches and checked for extension while the exterior crew threw 9 ladders and completed horizontal ventilation. Command held 34 and 1 for the investigators.
Minutes after returning to quarters Rescue Squad 1 was alerted to the 8300 block of Adelphi Road for a Auto Accident with people trapped. Rescue Squad 1 arrived first finding a 3 car crash with 2 trapped, 1 partially ejected and numerous other patients laying in the road. The Squad crew removed glass and stabilized the overturned SUV extricating both patients within 10 minutes.
The company handled 10 more runs before the nights end.
