Approx. 1:55am on Friday, May 27th, Rescue Squad 1 was among the units dispatched to a multifamily dwelling in the 6800-block of Riverdale Rd. in Lanham for a reported structure fire.
On scene crews found fire showing on the second floor. The fire extended to the roof and a third alarm was initiated. Searches were negative, and two civilians were transported with minor injuries. All visible fire is out; crews remain on scene checking for hot spots. @PGCountyOEM is assisting those displaced.
Rescue Squad 1 operated as the search company on the first alarm.
