Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department (HVFD) Life Members Dave Iannone and Chris Hebert will be honored with induction into the Firehouse Hall Of Fame during the FireFusion Conference on Nov. 6, 2024, at the Gaillard Center in Charleston, SC.
Iannone and Hebert are being recognized for their lifetime commitment to the fire service. They pioneered putting the fire service on the world wide web by launching Firehouse.com while both were members at HVFD in 1998. They also put HVFD on the map as one of the first volunteer fire departments in the nation to have a website.
Dave Iannone started as a junior member at HVFD rising through the ranks as Lieutenant, served in many administrative roles including President, and was on the Board of Directors.
Chris Hebert was a live-in member at HVFD and served as a Captain, administratively as Treasurer, and was on the Board of Directors.
HVFD has benefited enormously from the service of both Dave and Chris. All members join in congratulating them on this lifetime achievement and thank them for their many years of dedicated service.
