Units began an aggressive push to contain the fire and protect exposures, but due to hoarder-style conditions and crews were evacuated and units went to exterior operations.
Engine 1’s crew operated multiple lines including later in the fire working off Truck 716 knocking down fire from a second floor window.
Unfortunately, two residents of the home died as a result of the fire. Engine Companies 55, 1, Truck 9 and 716 were held for several hours to assist investigators after technical rescue crews stabilized part of the structure. Engine 1’s volunteer crew was relieved by our county day crew on scene just before Noon.
