
Truck 1 along with numerous other units from three jurisdictions and multiple public safety and environmental agencies operated at the scene of an overturned tanker truck on Interstate 95 near the Inter County Connector in Laurel Tuesday morning into the afternoon.
Hazardous materials and crews from the Maryland Department of Environment contained a leak of bio diesel fuel from the truck following the accident at about 10:15 a.m. Interstate 95 was shut down for several hours while crews operated.
According to @PGFDNews, the tractor trailer was hauling about 7,500 gallons total, approximately 6,400 of which was pumped off, another 400 captured in drums and about 700 gallons spilled and was dealt with by crews.
