This calendar lists upcoming events related to volunteer recruitment with the Hyattsville VFD including Meet & Greets, the first introductory meeting required for all prospective members, as well as open dates for Ride Alongs, County Application Review & Fingerprinting, depending what stage of the process you are in.
For Meet & Greets: Anyone is welcome to attend, but we do ask that you first complete our recruitment inquiry form. You should receive a reply back within 3-4 business days with upcoming Meet & Greet days. You can also RSVP to join@hvfd.com.
For Ride Alongs: If you are a prospective member who we have confirmed to have completed the HVFD Application and initial Meet & Greet, You MUST email join@hvfd.com to request a specific ride along date. Do NOT show up without receiving email confirmation of your ride along. All dates that show OPEN are available first come, first serve and are updated every few days. PLEASE review our Observation/Ride Along FAQ here prior to scheduling/attending your scheduled date.
