On Friday evening, January 14 at approximately 6:06 PM, Engine 1B was dispatched first due to a vacant one-story commercial building fire in the 2900 block of Hamilton Street in Hyattsville and arrived with fire and showing from the roof.
The Working Fire Dispatch and subsequent Fire Task Force brought firefighters from both Prince George’s and Montgomery counties.
Engine 1B operated on scene for multiple hours before returning to service. The cause of the fire is under investigation and one firefighter suffered minor injuries.
