Truck 1 First Due on Chillum House Fire

At about 12:40pm today, Truck 1 was alerted as first due special service to a reported house fire in the 1900 block of Oliver Street in Chillum, Co. 44’s first due. Paramedic Engine 844 arrived on the scene with smoke showing from the second floor from a two-story duplex.

Units had a bedroom fire with significant extension into the attic space. Truck 1’s crew operated on the second floor, performed searches, opened up and laddered the building. The fire was out within about 15 minutes of arrival. All occupants safely escaped the residence.
