At 1235 hours after returning from a wreck in Montgomery County, the Squad was dispatched for the RIT assignment back in Montgomery County for the working house fire. First arriving units found light smoking showing from a split-level home and requested the RIT assignment.

The Squad arriving as the 4th unit on scene, found heavy fire showing from the rear of the dwelling. Command requested that Squad 1 control the utilities and provide searches, which proved negative, as well as to open up. Squad 1 cleared at 1350 hours.
