At 0227 hours, Squad 1 was dispatched to the wreck at Upshur St. and Baltimore Ave. in Co. 9's first due for a reported auto accident with 3 persons trapped. Battalion Chief 4 arrived on scene and held units from the original assignment.

Squad 1 arrived on scene and was advised that the accident only required a door pop and that no one else was trapped. The Squad crew of 4 made quick work in removing the drivers side door to give paramedics access to the trapped occupant. Squad 1 went in service at 0302 hours.
