At 2231 hours, Squad 1 was requested on the Montgomery County box for the apartment fire at 572 Beacon Rd. First arriving units found heavy fire showing from the first floor in the middle of the row.

The Squad 1 crew arrived and went to work searching the fire apartment and opening up. While the searches proved negative; command ended up requesting 2 more engines, a truck and an air unit. Crews checked for extension on both floors and remained on scene until the investigator arrived. Squad 1 cleared at 2322 hours
